Golden Fox Engraving was founded by David to fulfil his need for creative projects.

After working at designing, making and repairing fine, high end jewellery for over ten years, he craved an opportunity to engage in more personal, individual pieces that allowed more creativity.

Growing up in the wilds of the Wicklow countryside and being good with his hands he spent his youth making a wide range of things to get himself in trouble, ranging from swords to complex Halloween costumes. A Degree in Model and Prop Making helped him refine his skills and led him to becoming a jeweller, goldsmith and engraver, and has been nicknamed "Mac Gyver" on a number of occasions including by fellow goldsmiths.

He’s had an interesting life ranging from being at sea on a trawler in a hurricane at age two, to swimming with the sealions in Dublin Zoo and being shot at by actor Brendon Gleeson.

Upon moving back to the Irish countryside in mid 2019, his need for creative pursuit became inescapable. He launched Golden Fox Engravers for an opportunity to share his love of making.

Having a particular fondness for very personal and meaningful projects, no project is too small or too complex, working within a wide range of budgets and scaling the project as needed is David's forte. His enjoyment comes from knowing the customer is truly satisfied with the final product, making all his hard work and attention to detail worthwhile.
